For the recent Jewish new year, Rosh Hashanah, I was invited to teach an art class for Eastside Torah Center's Challah bread baking event. I had a blast demonstrating how to turn a Challah recipe into a recipe illustration using basic line drawing techniques. I loved how the class participants were so engaged and showed off some impressive creative talents. And not only did I get a chance to share some doodling skills with a group of 50 talented ladies but I also got a chance to make Challah with everyone.
It was so much fun making and illustrating this recipe that I'd love for you to try making this recipe at home. Just be warned, it makes loads of Challah bread (about 8 big ones)!
